Jill Inbar

Jill Inbar is a Brooklyn based photographer inspired by the history and stories of places and people she encounters. Her photographs encompass a wide range of subjects including urban architecture, landscape and the complexities of contemporary family life all with a sensitivity to light and implicit geometry within the photographic frame. Recent work includes several group shows in Brooklyn, New York in 2023 and 2024 in coordination with Arts Gowanus and Brooklyn Waterfront Artists Coalition. Inbar also participated in the selective juried Review Santa Fe 2023. Prior to her work as a photographer, Jill worked as an attorney practicing corporate law and commercial litigation in New York and Washington, D.C. She received her J.D. from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, cum laude and B.A. in History and Near Eastern Studies from Cornell University. She volunteers as a trustee for arts and community based organizations.  Currently, Inbar serves on the Board of Directors of the Stefanie Nelson Dancegroup and as President of the Board of Pinemere Camp. Previously, she served for 8 years as a trustee of Brooklyn Prospect Charter School (and Chair of its Board for 4 years).
