Carter Shocket

Carter Shocket (he/him) is a trans and queer interdisciplinary artist from North Carolina living and working in Brooklyn, New York. His work includes woven sculpture, installation, tapestry, and other process-based textile art. He was an artist in residence at the Textile Arts Center from 2023-2024 and shows regularly with Eleventh Hour Art in Brooklyn. He has also shown with BAU Gallery, Neptune in June, and BWAC, among others. Alongside his studio practice, he works as a curator for Eleventh Hour Art, and has served as a guest Juror for Arts Gowanus.
